Installation

Here's a quick guide to installing ACT with the plugin and configuring it to parse or import your Vanguard logs.

Download

Setup

  • Start ACT
    • Cancel the Getting Started wizard (Figure 3)
    • Switch to the Plugins tab, and click Browse... (Figure 4)
    • Select the TASCGenerator.dll and click Open (Figure 5)
    • Click the Add Plugin button to add it to the list (Figure 6)
    • Now check the Enabled checkbox to start the plugin (Figure 7)

Configure

  • Configure your TASC Generator
    • Upon enabling the plugin, you should now see a new tab at the top
    • Selecting the tab will show some new settings you can adjust (Figure 8)
    • Toggle the options as needed, you may manually specify ally names for auto-correction as well
  • Configure ACT
    • Select the "About" tab along the top and choose "Open Log" (Figure 9)
    • Select your latest combat log and click Open
    • The window will change letting you know which file it is reading and where it is in the file (Figure 10)

Importing

  • You can import previous log files via the "Import/Export Encounters" tab
    • Choose the Start and End settings you prefer and click "Select File" (Figure 11)
    • Choose your log file and click Open
    • A dialog will prompt which character this file is for (Figure 12)
    • Once parsed, a dialog will let you know it is finished and how long the parse took (Figure 13)
    • You can now see the parsed data in the "Main" tab (Figure 14)

Other

  • It is best to turn off the "Use internal timer ..." setting under the "Ending Encounters" section of General Options (Figure 15)
