To do live parsing in Vanguard, a few hoops must be jumped through. For one, you must not use the /log command. This is because this command does not write anything out to your file until it is turned off. Here are some quick steps to achieving a live parse log.

1. Turn Off Logging

• If you have a log already going, type the /log command to turn off any current logs.

2. Enable Auto-Logging

• Type /autolog and press enter.

4. Profit!

• With the /autolog command, Vanguard will automatically log your chat everytime you launch the game.
• Do not use the /log command with /autolog, as it will likely not automatically log upon next launch.

If you followed these steps, you can now start Vanguard and jump on a character with your log files already running. Next, simply launch ACT with the parsing plugin, open the latest combat log file, and let the fun begin. It's as simple as that.
